Soy Sauce Glazed Cipollini Onions

Soy Glazed Cipollini Onions



  • 1.5 lbs Cipollini onions

  • 1 tbs Goose Fat, Duck Fat, Chicken Fat, or Olive Oil

  • 3 tbs Soy Sauce


  1. Heat oven to 325˚

  2. Peel onions, slice top and bottom off then peel around.

  3. Heat pan over flame, when hot add fat.

  4. Add onions to pan, let sit on one side for 2 minutes, then flip with spoon (there should be some color on the bottom).

  5. Turn off heat, add soy sauce to pan, toss onions to coat.

  6. Put pan in the oven for 1 hour, tossing every 15 until tender and sweet, and soy has reduced into a syrup.
